Lakewood
|
Located on the western boundaries of Denver, Lakewood is the fourth largest city in Colorado. The City of Lakewood has over 6,500 acres of park lands, many hiking trails and great scenery.
With owners occupying two-thirds of Lakewood's homes, the city is primarily residential. Only a few minutes drive from the mountains, Lakewood is nestled between Denver and the foothills. Many neighborhoods have expansive views of the city lights or the inspiring snow-capped Rocky mountains. It is a good home choice for people wanting to be "up close" to the mountains, yet convenient to work in the Denver Metroplex.
Because of relatively high per capita incomes and low density commercial areas, Lakewood has room for light industry and business growth. The city is home to the largest concentraion of federal government offices outside of Washington DC.
